What I packed for Mallorca

We’re back from our dreamy Mallorca vacation and I’m starting my posts about this wonderful place with my packing list. I wanted to post it before our trip, but didn’t get around to do it then. Sadly now a few of the things are sold out, but I tried my best to find similar items. All in all I was extremely happy with my packing and the amount of things I took. We flew with hand luggage only in order to have a hustle free trip, but at first I thought I couldn’t possibly fit my things in just one small carry on. Well if you pack wisely it’s actually possible! Also since this was a summer location you obviously didn’t need those roomy things such as boots and coats. I also carried one straw bag, my straw hat and my camera with me on the plane. Everything else fit in my carry on. See below for what I packed for Mallorca – some very beautiful dresses!

Dresses

In total I took seven dresses with me to the island. One of them was a Thierry Colson caftan that was perfect as a cover up for the pool or even worn at night. Then I took five evening out dresses for getting ready for dinner after a leisure day at the beach. They were all special pieces that fit the style of Mallorca perfectly. This Vita Grace dress is sadly sold out, but it might come back, so keep an eye on it. My favorite must have been this Loretta Caponi gingham dress and this Le Sirenuse work of art (blue sold out – red print here).

Swimwear

During the day I mostly wore swimwear with a pareo or cover up. Almost always my Marysia Palm Springs swimsuit with either my India Amory pareo or this affordable Etsy pareo. I also took an old bikini that is very similar to this one.

Shoes

For footwear I took three pairs. My beloved Carrie Forbes straw slides (similar), this Mango brown leather slides and my white Castaner espadrilles. I was also waiting on this heeled pair from Carrie Forbes and these sandals from Sarah Flint, but sadly they didn’t arrive in time. But three pairs were totally enough and they all fit to my daily and nightly activities and dresses perfectly.

Accessories

You know I love my straw bags and for this trip I chose my Cesta Collective one (different color way here) and my loyal old Faithfull the brand one (one second hand here – similar new one here). Since I couldn’t take a huge beach bag, I used my old Loveshackfancy floral textile bag for beach and pool outings. This one is most similar to it and I think it’s absolutely adorable. The great thing is you can pack it flat in your suitcase. My straw hat was my daily companion (similar here) and did a wonderful job of saving me from the sun. You just have to take one to every sunny vacation.

I’m so happy with everything I packed for the trip. It was truly a dream to wear such gorgeous pieces during our vacation that I felt good in everyday. Stay tuned for the first post about our trip tomorrow! Here are a few more pieces I love and would totally take to a Mallorca vacation right now:
