There’s nothing like a slightly crisp sunny fall day. The air is so clear and pure when you take some deep breaths and the nature around your seams to prepare for the change of seasons. The leaves didn’t turn orange quite yet here, but I think it doesn’t take much longer. This is my first fall back with my family in the countryside and it’s a special one to me. October always rings in a new beginning and this year I think it’s going to be a transformative one.
Naturally it’s also a big season for a closet change and one thing was definitely missing in mine: the perfect fall booties. I wanted to try a pair of Sarah Flint’s for a long time and was already near purchasing this pair last fall. They are fittingly called the Perfect Zip Booties and I must say they definitely fulfill the promise of their name. I wore them 5 out of 7 days during the past few weeks and styled them with everything from jeans to pretty fall dresses.
The quality and craftsmanship is incredible! And since my feet are wide and I have problems with pointed shoes these are my heaven. I was desperate with feet pain last year and couldn’t find any everyday boots that would fit me. These have an expanded toe box and anatomical arch support and I could cry so happy I am to have them in my closet now. Finally some shoes that are healthy for my feet and have the designer look. I also very much love the deep olive green suede and contrasting golden zips for fall.
This outfit is one of my favorites I’ve put together for fall since it still incorporates my beloved floral dress, but in a fall color, and it’s warm and comfy with the cardigan. This dress is in the most beautiful burgundy shade and the florals are very delicate. It’s great for everyday wear especially with a cardigan in creme or brown thrown over it. For cardigans & Other Stories quickly became my favorite spot since they have a huge selection of classic feminine styles.
I just love the burgundies, greens, cognac browns and cremes alltogether for this season.
